The small moonbeam necklace is a subtle silvery gray light beam that sits at the collarbone. The design was kept simple to compliment the lines in the human body gracefully.
This piece was made using machine made sterling silver chain, and the moonbeam element at the front was made by hand, using forming stakes and specialty hammers. An open seam was left at the bottom of the form as evidence of the origins of this piece, as well as to allow transfer of energy from the interior to the exterior.
These hollow pod shaped pieces are a really wonderful place to store prayers and intentions.
I first started making hollow formed pieces because I was intrigued by the idea that they were containers, but of what? not just air, but of our thoughts and ideas, which led me to understand that we can intentionally place energy into these pieces. The conductivity of metal only enhances this possibility.
The silver is textured, oxidized, and tumbler polished to create a darker silvery sheen that looks better the more you wear it.
These are available in two lengths, intended to be worn high and close to the neck. Special orders for other lengths desired are welcome! Just email me.
Also, both lengths come with the signature hook and eye clasp but if you would like a lobster clasp instead please do let me know. Just add a note in the Special Instructions box on the Cart page.
